MOSCOW, Jul 6 (PRIME) -- Power producer Enel Russia plans to build one more, 10 billion ruble windmill farm in the Rostov Region if it receives the quotas under a support program for renewable energy power generation, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
“The second Enel’s wind farm project in the Rostov region will be developed provided it receives quotas after competitive selection of investment projects for renewable energy generating facilities planned for 2021-2025 in the framework of a second program of state support for renewable energy sources generation (DPM RES-2.0). The estimated investment in the potential project may amount to 10 billion rubles,” the statement read.
The region’s government will provide administrative, state, and informational support, and will consider its inclusion in the list of 100 governor-supported projects.
Enel Russia’s first, 135 million euro windmill farm in the Rostov Region – the Azovskaya is 90 megawatt farm – started supplies to the wholesale power and capacity market in May.
